Meet our Team
at Silver Reef Organic Farms

Greg Schreiner
Owner
Greg graduated from Winona State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Greg moved to Denver,Colorado shortly after college and started his passion for entrepreneurship by starting a company called Aeration Consultants. He started by going door-to-door seven days a week and taught people the benefits of lawn aeration and even performed free aerations to show the benefits first hand. Within a few years, he started implementing telemarketing and expanded his services to offer landscape maintenance, snow removal and eventually landscape design build. Aeration Consultants soon became the largest residential lawn aeration company in Denver and was sold to a future Fortune 500 company in 1998.
Greg’s passion for creating businesses continued through many business ventures that included: a purebred Angus business that created bulls for commercial customers, a RV & boat storage company, and a business that created decorative stamp concrete for high-end residential homes. He also started acquiring farmland investments that ranged from Illinois to Colorado and even into Wyoming.
In 2012, Greg made the choice to finally live his childhood dream of becoming a farmer. Greg came across an opportunity to purchase a chunk of land in Wellington, Colorado. With a little luck and hard work, Greg purchased the legendary Grant Family Farms. The added bonus was that he purchased the work with organic status.
The driving force behind all of Greg’s business decision started with the love and challenge of the industry, wanting to make a difference, and be able to mentor and teach others. Greg believes that his next venture of organic farming meets all of his criteria and is excited about this next chapter in his life.
Greg has four children that are his pride and joy. His family is the driving force behind his success and they encourage him to live out his dreams.

Ellie Schreiner
Assistant Farm Manager
Ellie Schreiner graduated from Naropa University in 2012 with a degree in Environmental Studies as well as holds accreditation as a Permaculture Designer. Around the same time her father, Greg Schreiner, invested in Silver Reef Organic Farms. She officially joined the team in 2018.
Ellie was born and raised in Sedalia, Colorado raising cattle and learning about growing crops to support the family farm. With her roots in farming and her passion for environmental restoration and sustainable agriculture, Ellie looks toward the future when implementing systems we use on the farm today. Ellie is key in creating current and future sustainability initiatives, using regenerative organic farming practices, and implementing these strategies at the field level.
As the newest member of our team, she is in training to learn any and all parts of how this business works from the field to the office.
